About: An integral part of a liberal arts curriculum, the courses of the art department at Lawrence University encourage aesthetic awareness and appreciation by emphasizing the interdependence of art-making, art history, and other creative and intellectual fields. As an art major at Lawrence, you will focus on either studio art or art history while developing competence in both. A double major, which permits you to combine concentrated study in both studio art and art history, is also available. Additionally, studio art majors may receive certification for teaching art in grades K-12. Request Information
