Student¿s study and make-work in one of the most important and beautiful Renaissance palazzi in Florence. Our faculty are all contemporary artists and scholars active in their particular disciplines. They¿re experienced, open-minded, and supportive; they serve as teachers and mentors; and they love the art of teaching. Studying here is personal. We do not package and commercialize the foreign study experience, especially in a time when quality has been replaced with quantity and the Americanization of art programs abroad. About: The School Il Bisonte is a spacialization school in all the traditional techniques of printmaking, located in the historic heart of Florence. The courses cover many different techniques: Acquafortis (sugarlift, softground, acqutint, colour etching, spitbite, drypoint) Lithography, Mezzotint, Xylography, Burin, Collography, Serigraphy, Art History, Restoration. Students who repeat the annual course of Chalcographic Engraving or frequent the Etching Course (Advanced) in the second year can obtain the professional Engraver-printer certificate awarded by the Region of Tuscany.
