Fashion photography is one of the most coveted careers for the style-conscious.

As a fashion photographer, you could cover the latest styles from New York, Milan, or Paris, or work with world-renowned models. The field is competitive, and not all fashion photographers get hired by Vogue, but thousands find their niche in fashion advertising, catalogue shoots, celebrity portraiture, or art photography.

Fashion photographers plan, shoot, develop, and even print photos or videos to show off clothes in a way that will attract customers. They might also attend fashion shows and expos to capture the latest and greatest designs for fashion magazines and websites.

Fashion photographers use basic photography skills, including knowledge of lighting, development expertise, and the ability to get the best out of fashion models during a shoot. They may also be responsible for finding locations, and hiring models and other photography assistants.
